Aaron Curry is a 6-2, 275-pound defensive tackle from Keller, Texas. He is ranked No. 708 overall by 247Sports, a recruiting partner to The World-Herald.

Curry, the No. 127 recruit in Texas and is the No. 57 defensive tackle in the nation. He had a 247Sports rating of 86, which made him a 3-star prospect.

“He got along with the players and felt comfortable with the coaching staff when he was up there,” Aaron’s dad, Aaron Curry Sr. said. “It was a combination of everything. It’s a good football school and it’s a defensive school.”

Curry told NU defensive tackle coach Rick Kaczenski of his decision.

"Aaron was getting ready to go to Iowa,” Curry Sr. said. “Then all of a sudden, Coach K went to Nebraska. (When Kaczenski arrived in Lincoln), they asked Coach Kaczenski who he was recruiting at Iowa, and the first name that came up was Aaron’s.”

He had 20 offers and has shown interest in Iowa and Nebraska, among others. Curry also took visits to TCU and UCLA.

After a year in the Big Ten, Nebraska went looking for more depth at defensive tackle. It found that in Curry. Curry was a recruit coveted by many programs throughout the country and brings quickness and toughness to the position. A former basketball player, Curry possesses quick feet and toughness that caught the attention of recruiters. As a senior, Curry made 59 tackles, three sacks and caused one fumble.
