Shelton would be a big coop for Nebraska coach Bo Pelini and for assistant Corey Raymond. The Huskers came in late for the four-star cornerback from Inglewood, Calif., but the they left a definite impression.
Coaching is a big reason why Shelton considered Nebraska in the first place. The cornerback is well aware of the team’s ability to send cornerbacks to the NFL and that’s his ultimate goal. Shelton said he felt very comfortable with the Nebraska coaches on his visit.
Washington poses a threat simply because new secondary coach Keith Hayward was the coach who recruited Shelton to Oregon State. The two have a pretty strong relationship.
