Hall was born in Vermont on February 15, 1848. He was residing in Williston (Chittenden County), Vermont when he enlisted in the regiment on December 15, 1863. Hall was mustered on January 4, 1864 and served about 19 months. He was discharged on August 9, 1865.
Hall was wounded on May 5, 1864 at the Battle of Craig’s Meeting House in Virginia. Regimental losses for that date were 4 killed, 24 wounded, and 10 captured.
He died on January 31, 1934 at the age of 85 years. He is buried in the Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff (Scotts Bluff County), Nebraska.
